Where is Tortillaville?

After a very successful and enthusiastic 2009 summer at 5th and Warren streets in Hudson, NY, Tortillaville has been informed that the space it has occupied for four glorious months has plans for future development.

And, with this information, sadly, Tortillaville will no longer be on this centrally located corner, where taco and burrito fulfillment intersect. But, fear not, for every taco has its day.

In all fairness, Tortillaville was told that this day might come, but tell that to our ravaged followers. We are hearing of burrito withdrawals plaguing the city, and in some cases, depression setting in since our stainless steel doors closed on that dark Autumn evening of November 8, 2009.

There is no telling what hysteria and mayhem might follow. We pray that Hudson brother and sister persevere through this tortilla-less drought. We are confident that optimism and cool heads will prevail. But, if word breaks out about the addition of chipati wraps, carne asada and home made corn tortillas there’s no telling what could happen.

That said, with word spreading by an army of faithful, we are confident to find another, and perhaps even better location along Warren Street in Hudson, NY - The Friendly City.  Feel free to contact Mayor Rick Scalera or your Alderman to voice your support.

But seriously, the message we need to send out beyond all else is that we care about those who have visited the taco temple we call Tortillaville, and we thank you for doing so. Keep in touch so that you know where to find us.

Thank you from the bottom of our jalapeños. For now, we are in winter storage with the possibility of Key West in the coming weeks. But, we shall return. And, we hope to feed the wonderful population of Hudson, NY yet again in Spring 2010.  Hasta Luego :)
